Capture the Moment

This is an old collage I did a couple years ago that I never got around to framing until today. The actual collage is quite larger, but this is all that I could capture with my scanner. And within this section, I captured different ideas about love. From the idea that love is a game with the heart shape cut out of the Queen of Hearts to traditional romantic visions of love illustrated with the Eiffel-Tower in Paris.

The natural textures speak of the tactile side of eros, with the turning leaves and iconic images symbolizing the dynamic facets of love through time.
    I really dig it!

thank you for the comments. I like gathering natural elements every year for collaging. Have to get out my flower press soon for the phloxs that will start coming up. They’re always great for collaging.
