Naked Chicks and Beer, part Deux.

Wow. What a blast. This weekend we rounded up the posse and headed on out to the Captain Phil’s 2nd Annual BBQ, Block Party, and Art Show at the Crimson Anchor Tattoo parlor. Wow. Wow. Wow. Why aren’t there more events like this?

Mud wrestling, shopping cart jousts, beer, BBQ, hot tattooed and pierced honies., art, and death metal being played by some kickin’ bands… What more could you want on a perfect Tampa Saturday afternoon? The weather was absolutely gorgeous.

Want some pics? Yeah, I thought so.

This was one of the first photos I managed to snag. This was one of the girls behind the counter, and I must say that she rocks. She had shorts that said “Rancid” on them. Too cool. She was demanding girls to wrestle her in the mud pit. In a word, adoreable. And yes, that lip tattoo reads”LAME.” Apparently, she was bored one day. (She said if you strech your French accent skills a bit, one could argue that it is pronounced “Lah-may,” but she was just as bubbly and happy with “lame.”) And no, I didn’t get to wrestle her. Pity. Maybe next time.

The CHAIR!

Here is the chair. I *almost* climbed right into it and got the tattoo I have been wanting. Yeah, I am a wuss. I flaked out. Maybe I will get one if Lame’ will let me wrestle her. And it better be Jello.

Counter

As far as an art show goes, this was an excellent venue. There was plenty of wall space. Natalie’s art was right near the entrance, always a coveted spot to have your stuff placed.

Natalie cutting mats

This is Natalie cutting some last minute mats for some prints she had for sale. She is always doing something artistic. And yes, I have to post this little clip of Mikey rocking out to some pleasant death metal sounds. Enjoy!

Okay. That’s enough pics for tonight. There’s a ton more to share and I will be throwing them on the site tomorrow… There’s just too many cool things to not share. If you get a chance, visit The Crimson Anchor or visit them on their Myspace page. They are some very good people doing some great things to support the local art scene.
