Blowing things up with the crew from Crimson Anchor

We’ve attended Crimson Anchor parties before, and this one was arguably the most insane. The gang at the studio always make for excellent hosts. The inside of the studio is gorgeous. Huge red walls covered in every sort of art, tiled furniture, and amazing tattoo art… It is definitely a great experience to take in, even if you don’t plan on getting a tattoo or piercing something. There is generally always something interesting going on there.

And, while you are at it, stop by next door and visit Unicos Supermarket. It is a Latin Market that has darn near every thing the Florida cook might want. If you want a VERY traditional treat, go to the back and ask for “Chicharonnes, (Chee-Chah-Ro’-Nays) por favor, una libra.” This will get you a pound of something that looks like very thick bacon. It isn’t good for you at all. No, I am serious. You will need to be prepared for something astonishingly delicious and incredibly unhealthy. But it is great. And if they try to give you the little thingies that look like bacon rinds, tell them “No, no quaditos. Chicharones especial.” Enjoy.

We had a blast attending the 4th of July party at Crimson Anchor Studios. The studio also acts as a local art gallery and is very active in the Tampa Bay arts community. Thanks to the Studio crew and the guests for being so accommodating of our cameras.

  1. Yes, it was probably the best 4th ever. Very dangerous, indeed, but oh, so fun! Had fun shooting this one with you. ;)
