A greasy gray-green
sort of gangrene
mist
is now lying dead –
passed all over his old home.
and all the little black birds
sit
p r e c a r i o u s l y,
almost made falling of
sallow salty tasting winds
that want to remove them
from their
telephone-wire cathedrals,
where there is nothing to do –
but wear black feathers and huddle
like monks,
slumped shoulders
